Panther Consession Stand

Ever since I can remember, we'd had an old, shabby building for a concession stand (slash equipment storage) at the soccer field by the high school. During soccer games, no one even knew what the building was and concession sales were down substantially. Well, last year (2007), my mom asked if I could help her spruce it up! I told her yes and began designing. After some hot, hot summer days, a few gallons of paint, and permission from the school board, we got the concession stand in tip-top shape. Below are some pictures that were taken this summer (2008, and yes-- the grass needs cut!).

More Senior Pictures!

I have been so busy! Between starting student teaching, lesson plans, working, my exercise routine (Thanks Meghan!) and the rest of my life, I've realized that I have no time to edit the pictures that I take, or be creative for that matter!

Fortunately, today I had some extra time and I edited some of Kyle's pictures. We have his yearbook pic to go yet also because... well... he is bald at the moment... had to cut off all his hair due to a clipper mishap...

I used Photoshop to edit this photo. There was a man walking the track in the background. I used an antiquing action to darken the photo and a shadow edge to frame.

Will be posting more soon :)

Senior Pictures

Well... I ordered about 7/8 of Nikki's pictures! We only have the yearbook picture to go (and that's only because I have to photoshop a background in on that one...). I ended up ordering a photo book with about 25 pictures in it as well as 72 wallets (to start with). We may end up having to order more but here are a few we do have:

It was so much fun doing these!! Can't wait for Kyle's and Dustin's! :)

Duck Cookies

Jamie asked if I'd make some duck cookies for her friend's baby shower. Of course, I told her 'yes!'. I think they turned out nice. Take a look:

I only baked and iced the cookies.; I did not have anything to do with assembly of the final favor... The finished favor:

Nikki's Outdoor Pictures

I'm back already! I don't know what has gotten into me; posting two days in a row!

Today I took the outdoor pictures of Nikki's (my niece) senior pictures. I uploaded them to Flickr and would like to share them with you. I haven't yet done any Photoshop touch-ups or editing. I can't wait for that part though!

Sneak Peek

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been very busy! I've been working on a few projects and have a few to come: senior pictures (for my brother, niece, and nephew), window painting, baby shower cookie painting, signs & posters, and of course a little creative wedding planning here and there. I decided to post a little sneak peek of a couple projects that are finished and will be posted soon (I still have to take more pictures...).

Enjoy :)

Check back soon! Have a wonderful day!

Rachel Noelle

In April, the girls from work and I threw a baby shower for our friend, Jamie. Well, she finally had her baby girl, Rachel, on June 25! She is adorable!

Meet Rachel Noelle:

My gift to Jamie was a cake. This cake was made similarly to the other on my blog, but with baby girl scrapbooking paper instead of bridal paper. I filled these boxes with baby products and a few items from the registry. I don't have final pictures (of the cake packaged) but it was cute! I matched the paper/stickers with the room's color scheme. Here are pictures of the boxes in Rachel's room (and a glimpse of her room also):

Oh, also... we just got our pool filled today :) Maybe this weekend I will enjoy some frozen drinks in the pool as I lay in the beautiful water! Have a great rest of the week!
